Welcome to WUTC's newsletter, bringing you station updates, upcoming events, and a peek behind the mic at Chattanooga's NPR station. 5/19/2026 WUTC Morning Coffee Meetup is This Thursday at Shredders LairJoin us for our morning coffee meetup at Brainerd’s newest coffee shop, bar, and music venue Join us this Thursday, May 21st, from 8:30–10:30 AM at Shredders Lair for WUTC’s Morning Coffee Meetup. We’ll be gathering to enjoy coffee, breakfast, and good conversation with fellow listeners. Shredders Lair brings together coffee, a bar, and live music in a beautifully restored historic space. It's a chance to step inside a cool local business and connect with fellow listeners and the people you hear on WUTC. Stop by to meet station staff, talk with hosts, and spend a relaxed morning with your public radio community. Shredders Lair is located at 3120 Brainerd Road in Chattanooga. There's plenty of free parking in the rear of the building. We hope you will join us! Upcoming Maintenance at WUTC Transmitter Site May Temporarily Affect Signal ReceptionWeb and App Streams Will Remain Available WUTC will conduct scheduled maintenance at our transmitter site beginning in the coming weeks. During portions of this work, transmission power will be temporarily reduced. Listeners in outlying areas of our broadcast range may experience brief periods of signal disruption or loss. The station’s digital streams will not be affected and will remain available at WUTC.org and on the WUTC app. Because this project is weather dependent and requires multiple days of clear conditions, we will provide updates as the schedule becomes more certain.
