Join Us For One Unforgettable Sendoff

We’re less than two weeks out from the biggest event WUTC has ever thrown: Thank You, Richard Winham.

For 38 years, Richard Winham has been the voice, the heartbeat, and the musical compass of WUTC. Now he’s stepping away from the mic, and we’re sending him off the only way that makes sense: with an unforgettable concert that celebrates him, the music he loves, and the community he helped shape.

Tickets are already moving fast—and once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Join us Sunday, June 22, from 1–5 p.m. at Barrelhouse Ballroom in downtown Chattanooga for a blowout benefit concert unlike anything we’ve ever hosted. It’s all ages, family-friendly, and packed with live performances from some of Richard’s favorite artists:

  • The New Quintet
  • Randy Steele & the High Cold Wind
  • Wayne White and Username Password
  • Jhett Black, Rick Rushing, Alex The Band, Danimal, BEMI
  • Members of Call Me Spinster and Strung Like A Horse
  • ...and more surprises to come

Every dollar raised goes straight to WUTC’s mission—and helps ensure that Richard’s legacy continues: an independent, fearless public radio voice for the Tennessee Valley.

Special thanks to our event sponsors for making this possible—and helping us keep WUTC strong and independent: Snapdragon Hemp, Nooga Paws, Play Wash Pint, Play Wash Stay, Chattanooga Times Free Press

Don’t wait until the day-of. This could easily sell out. Grab your tickets now, skip the line, and be part of WUTC history.

Go VIP: Join the Soundcheck Circle

Want to give Richard the sendoff he deserves, and experience the show like a true insider? Step into the Soundcheck Circle, our limited-capacity VIP pre-show experience starting at noon.

You’ll join Richard, the performers, and WUTC staff for a relaxed meet-and-greet before the doors open to the public. There’ll be good drinks, classy bites (yes, we mean hors d’oeuvres), and some great conversation with the people who help bring WUTC to life. You’ll also get a limited-edition Thank You, Richard Winham concert poster—our small way of saying thanks for helping us keep public radio strong.

Only 50 spots are available, and they’re moving fast. If you want to support the station in a bigger way and send Richard off in style, this is how you do it.
